Strawberry Patch

Our strawberry patch run to Davenport at Swanton Berry Farm was sooo much fun. It's a good bit of a drive (an hour from the Peninsula) but I have to say it was well worth the trip. We arrived in the early morn before the crowd came and before the hot sun. You grab a basket and/or a wagon and your off! Not a bad deal at $2.50 per pound. At first there didn't seem to be many red, red strawberries, but we dug deeper and got plenty! They also sell their fresh jams. I grabbed a jar of the strawberry/rhubarb, to die for!

I hadn't used my 50mm 1.2 in ages. I have grown accustomed to the 24-70mm 2.8 that I had forgotten how much I loved my 50! Considering we were up and down the fields there was no way I wanted to carry the 24-70 with me so I was quite happy with the turnout.
