Mmmmm Food

Ok I love food. There I said it. I love taking pictures of food. Not that I am a food photographer but I can see how fun yet also how frustrating this can be. I remember watching a competition on TV about food photography and all the things they use to make the food look good on film. It definitely doesn't sound appetizing anymore but it's really pretty. So every now and then I take pics of food that my husband or I make. He loves to bake and I love to eat it and, of course take pictures of it. I decided to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies today because I thought they'd be healthier than just chocolate chip cookies. HA! I did modify the recipe. I have a verryy difficult time putting 2 sticks of butter into any recipe. Come on. Only 3/4 stick of butter in these and they are still yummy I could probably do even less. Next time. I wanted to get a series shots and put them into one photo. I'm attempting to learn Photoshop and it's soo not intuitive. I have learned to combine photos, takes awhile but I did it! Here's my series.

Today's a new day

I have decided, thanks to Jasmine Star and the entourage at Creative Live, to continue with my blogging about my photos along with my trials and tribulations if you will. I am by no means a writer as you will see. I am a compassionate person who loves to make people smile both in front of and behind the camera. I have learned soo much these past few weeks from my own experiences of taking pictures as well as online through classes. Where this will take me? Not sure. But I do know I need to dream big.

My brother got married this past weekend and not only was I thrilled to be a part of the nuptials but it was an honor to shoot some of the festivities.

This photo shows the workings of my fabulous cousin, Karina Murtagh, and my wonderful new sister-in-law, Shanna Murtagh, working the make-up magic!
