Newborn Photoshoot
I sooooo enjoyed this photoshoot with my friend Connelly and her baby Riley. It's funny that I mentally have a plan of where I'm going to shoot and where the best light is. But the best things happen when no planning is involved. As she was nursing I was hanging out with her and chatting. I realized THIS was the best light with such a natural feel, their bedroom. Big brother, Parker, cheezin' it while holding his new little bro.
Professional shoot
I haven't had the opportunity to shoot many professional photos, but I'm glad Sam asked me to shoot hers. She brought a few outfits with awesome accessories and it was such a beautiful morning in my backyard. She just glowed.

Murtagh Maternity Photos
I am soooo excited that I am going to be an Auntie!!! My brother and his wife are having a baby girl, Addison Claire. I can't wait to spoil that little one. Of course we had to do some maternity photos and as promised there's never a dull moment when my brother is involved. I think it's a goofy gene in the Murtagh DNA. All you Murtagh's know exacctttttly what I am talking about.

Mmmmm Food

Ok I love food. There I said it. I love taking pictures of food. Not that I am a food photographer but I can see how fun yet also how frustrating this can be. I remember watching a competition on TV about food photography and all the things they use to make the food look good on film. It definitely doesn't sound appetizing anymore but it's really pretty. So every now and then I take pics of food that my husband or I make. He loves to bake and I love to eat it and, of course take pictures of it. I decided to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies today because I thought they'd be healthier than just chocolate chip cookies. HA! I did modify the recipe. I have a verryy difficult time putting 2 sticks of butter into any recipe. Come on. Only 3/4 stick of butter in these and they are still yummy I could probably do even less. Next time. I wanted to get a series shots and put them into one photo. I'm attempting to learn Photoshop and it's soo not intuitive. I have learned to combine photos, takes awhile but I did it! Here's my series.
